Joseph Lopez: Senior Staff Writer (February 2010-Present)

I’m currently a Senior Staff Writer for FanSided’s Oakland A’s blog Swingin’ A’s. I’ve been a member of the FanSided Network since February 2010, and before joining FanSided, I served as a Featured Columnist for the A’s community on BleacherReport.com.

Over the past two years or so, I’ve had many opportunities to work with many great sites and individuals, including NESN.com, SeattlePI.com, and the San Francisco Chronicle.

I’m currently attending Cal State Fullerton as an English major, with the hopes of one day becoming an English teacher. In the meantime, however, my focus will geared toward making Swingin’ A’s your number one source for all A’s-related news.

It is the goal of this site and staff to publish high-quality articles about the green-and-gold.

Jason Leary: Staff Writer (June 2011-Present)

Want to hear the mother of all understatements? I’m a die-hard A’s fan.

I fell hard for the club when I was a kid and a young Rickey Henderson was flying around the bases and manager Billy Martin was getting in umpires’ faces and I haven’t stopped cheering for the guys in green and gold since then.

These days I’m a busy father of two who tries to keep up with everything happening with the franchise when life as a parent slows down enough to allow me to tune in to the game and surf the Web for all the latest news about the A’s.

I covered sports while earning a journalism degree at San Francisco State University and my career has spanned more than a decade working as a copy editor and page designer for the Oakland Tribune, The Press Democrat and the Contra Costa Times.  As a sports fan, the highlight of my time in newspapers came during my years on The Press Democrat’s sports desk where I was basically paid to watch baseball back when Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder and Barry Zito were leading those amazing A’s teams on thrilling playoff runs and the historic 20-game win streak.

I’m a member of the Baseball Bloggers Alliance I’ve spent the past several years blogging independently about the A’s and couldn’t be happier to join FanSided’s Oakland A’s blog Swingin’ A’s.

Devin Pangaro: Staff Writer (February 2012-Present)

Devin Pangaro is an anomaly. A lifelong San Franciscan whose has shunned the San Francisco Giants and spent his entire life arduously following every detail of his favorite team. The Oakland Athletics.  Armed to the teeth with a Creative Writing degree from San Francisco State and a deep love and respect for all things baseball related, this writer seeks to bring an insightful and entertaining perspective on the sport. When not furiously typing behind his laptop, Devin can be found patrolling the softball fields of San Francisco with his team, The Sledgehammers.
