At this point in the season, it would be easy for most Oakland Athletics fans to “jump ship” after the dismal start to the 2015 campaign. As of April 30, the A’s possess a 9-14 record (.391) — looking up at the first-place Houston Astros (15-7) who have a six-and-a-half game lead on them in the American League West. It would be easy to fault the bullpen in the late innings or defensive miscues in the field.
