Fantasy baseball can be very, very easy. If you’re playing in an eight or ten team league then you really are just choosing the best of the best players to fill out your roster.
If you happen to play in a more challenging format such as a 14-teamer or larger, or perhaps even an AL-only or NL-only league then things get a little tougher. In terms of filling out a roster you simply cannot go just off rankings and who’s the starter. It is only in one of these leagues that the Oakland Athletics infield even matters.

Only one player from the projected opening day lineup is a shallow-league asset and that is Ben Zobrist. He ranks 176th among all players, so even in a shallow league he isn’t too valuable.
However, similar to the fantasy-relevant Oakland Athletics pitchers, there is plenty here if you are looking for sleepers, or if you are in one of the aforementioned deep leagues.
This is part two of my three part series on fantasy-relevant Oakland Athletics, which I started a week ago by taking a look at Oakland’s pitching staff.
