The past seven days were eventful around the AL West, with the Astros adding even more power and Texas finally waking up from their offseason slumber. This week let’s start in Houston, where the Astros have added considerable pop to their lineup.

In this article, Jason (I write over there, too) takes a look at the Astros lineup and gives the Steamers’ projections for every player that should be on the Opening Day roster. Their offense has improved, but by how much?

Finally, Charlie Spencer-Davis takes a look at who could be manning shortstop for Seattle in 2015. Will it be Brad Miller or Chris Taylor.

If you’re looking for something more A’s-centric, take a look at this post by Nick from yesterday. He explains why the A’s bullpen is still in good shape, even with Sean Doolittle set to miss the beginning of the season.
