Adam Olson and Our New Logo!

If you follow Swingin’ A’s on Twitter, Facebook, or Google+, you’ve probably noticed that we’ve got an amazing new logo that looks great and is less filling. All credit for that logo is due to Adam Olson of Opening Day Designs.

If you’ve spent any time at the ballpark or on Oakland Athletics based websites, you’ve undoubtedly seen some of his designs. We had a chance to ask Adam a few questions about life, love, and what makes him tick but instead we asked him about his work and his love for the green and gold.

How long have you been an A’s fan?

I have been an Athletics fan for as long as I can remember. My family raised me as a Bay Area sports fan supporting both teams. As I grew up I branched away and rooted specifically for the Athletics and haven’t looked back!

How long have you been designing graphics?

A few years ago I decided that I wanted to create my own shirts because I was tired of the overpriced generic items you might find at your local store. Seeing a sea of orange & black and only 3 green & gold items really was the starting point. If I couldn’t buy what I wanted, why not create it?
