Thank You, A’s Fans!

As the year approaches its final days, I tend to become more reflective, so that is what I’m going to do here. I started at Swingin’ A’s a few days into January of 2014 because I couldn’t wait until baseball season started, and I wanted to give this writing thing a shot. After nearly a year, I thought it would be a good time to give you, the fans, a long overdue “Thank You”.

Because of you, Tony was able to get Eireann Dolan on a podcast just a couple of weeks ago. The same goes for Chris Bassitt. Tony is a musician, and I currently wait on tables, so for us, being moderately involved with the Oakland A’s at any level is pretty cool.

Of course, there are times when we get called idiots, but for the most part people have been very cool with us, and our staff, and just want to engage in discussions/debates about baseball, which is every baseball fan’s dream.

The site has made some huge strides this year, and it’s all because of you. We greatly appreciate all of the support, and will continue to pump out content for you every single day! Now, hopefully Billy Beane will give us a few hours to spend with our families this holiday. -Jason

Swingin’ A’s has seen a lot of changes over the past year and on behalf of Jason and myself, we’d like to thank you, our readers, for supporting the site and coming back day after day. It means a lot to everyone at Swingin’ A’s to see more of you commenting on articles, sharing on Facebook, engaging on Twitter and asking on Ask.fm.

Our pageviews at Swingin’ A’s have increased by 207% over 2013 and every month of 2014 is represented in the top 12 months in the site’s history. In fact, we’re on pace for this month being our biggest month in site history (it’s currently second) and it’s not even baseball season. Sure, we’ve written 60% more content in 2014 but if you all weren’t reading it and sharing it with your friends, it would be meaningless.

Thank you for making Swingin’ A’s a part of your daily A’s news feed. You read the articles on this site alongside A’s players and front office employees and your support means the world to us.

Here’s hoping 2015 brings the site to new heights and that you stick around to enjoy the ride.

Happy Holidays to you and your family! -Tony
