Drunk Fan Confronts Midland Rockhounds Pitcher [VIDEO]

Sometimes a team can take one of their players being beaned by a pitch very personal. Other times, a drunk fan can have that same feeling.

It all started in a game yesterday between the Oakland A’s AA affiliate, Midland Rockhounds, and the Houson Astros’ Corpus Christi Hooks, when the Hooks’ Telvin Nash was hit by a pitch from Midland’s Blake Hassebrock, according to Greg Rajan of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. What would then ensue surely caught everyone by surprise. A drunk fan was clearly displeased with the HBP and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Midland would lose the game 14-1, but I’m sure many involved with the game will only be remembering the incident. And thanks to batter-turned pitcher-turned batter Jeremy Barfield, @BarfieldRage on Twitter, there’s video. Enjoy– and please control your drinking people.
