Spring Training Preview: A's vs. Rangers

The Oakland Athletics head into Saturday’s game with a 2-1 record having beat the Giants twice and dropping one to the Brewers. Oakland is going to be starting Sonny Gray on the mound, hoping he fares better than the previous two starters who have gotten knocked around. Milone suffered 2 home runs (3 runs) and Parker only went 1 and a third inning while allowing 6 runs to score.

The A’s will get their first look of the season against the Texas Rangers, their division rivals. Here is how the A’s will line up against the Rangers:

1. Crisp

2. Punto

3. Reddick

4. Cespedes

5. Callaspo

6. Norris

7. Freiman

8. Taylor

9. Sogard

Most guys in the lineup only last about 2-3 at bats before being switched out for the minor leaguers. The game is set to start at 12:05 P.M. at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The Rangers have yet to release their lineup for the game tomorrow. Some satisfaction for A’s fans, the Rangers lost 11-1 to the Royals today.
