Face of MLB: 9:30 AM

The Face of MLB competition is underway in the Bay. Eric Sogard has flown out to an early lead. I credit this to his wizard background.

Today is a day that we can prove to the baseball world, that we A’s fans are the best. It’s not about credentials or marquee names in Oakland. It’s about who can get the job done. Bunting is a plus. Our fans are more passionate about the entire team than most are about their favorite player. Today we prove that.

Over at the Giant’s FanSided page, they took some shots at Sogard, saying, “He has a Wikipedia Page (I’m actually surprised by this),” when comparing credentials of the two players. On Twitter, new A’s closer Jim Johnson said to an A’s reporter, “The A’s fans are the best. They are knowledgable and never mean spirited.”

To vote, go to your twitter account and just type these two hashtags: #EricSogard #FaceOfMLB. That’s one vote. You get a whole 25! We expect there to be a big push of Posey support once people are off work, so keep voting all day! Voting ends at 5AM Tuesday.

The entire competition is about determining a face for baseball. Today, we are determining the face of the Bay Area. As of 9:30 AM, that face has glasses.
