The Oakland A’s have been good at winning lately. They’ve won two consecutive AL West titles and have ranked in the top in a lot of categories. Here are three different areas where Oakland will continue their winning ways.
1. A Winning Streak
In 2002, the Oakland A’s shocked the world with an American League record breaking 20 consecutive games won. This upcoming season in 2014, A mixture of great pitching, power hitting, and just a little bit of that Oakland magic will result in another magical winning streak. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Oakland will win at least 15 consecutive games. Last season the highest they got was 9. The Tigers had an impressive 13. But this next season, Oakland will win at least 15 straight. That is how talented this group is.
2. No Months With Losing Records
Oakland has an impressive record going on. They haven’t had a month with a losing record the past two seasons. And that will continue in 2014. They will winning records every month for the entire season. They might have some rough stretches but they will have another 6 winning months to add to an impressive streak.
3. A Third Straight AL West Title
The A’s may have rough competition, but they will still be able to defend their title. There are plenty of reasons outlined here as to why that will be. The Rangers will make it close for most of the season, but Oakland will overcome all of their division foes and render all of their efforts to dethrone the A’s worthless. The crown belongs to Oakland, and they will keep it that way.
