Happy Thanksgiving From Swingin’ A’s!

While we all restlessly await Billy Beane’s next move (Hopefully resigning Brandon McCarthy, and either resigning Stephen Drew or bringing in Hiroyuki Nakajima), everyone should take a moment and reflect on the state of our Athletics.  They have turned around their fortunes so quickly and so dramatically, and they took us all on an incredible ride while they did it.  I am thankful for them restoring my hope.

I am also very thankful to be able to share my thoughts on this wild and crazy franchise here on Swingin’ A’s.  Been in charge since May, and I’ve loved every moment of it.  So while your family gathers and you all sit to watch the Houston Texans dismantle the Detroit Lions, RGIII run roughshod over the Cowboys, and Tom Brady pick his teeth with the bones of a member of the New York Jets secondary, take some time maybe to flash a little Bernie Lean for Grandma.  Throw a pie in Cousin Larry’s face and drench him with champagne.  Of course you can take a break to enjoy the forthcoming feast.  But something tells me you’ll need all the practice you can get celebrating, the A’s are up to something special and that is something we all can be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
