Questor,

I hope Sonny Gray develops into a great pitcher as well. Glad we both feel like this kid could be something special one day. Hopefully the organization holds on to him, and gives him an opportunity some day to pitch in the big-leagues while wearing the colors of green-and-gold.

Also, I'm in agreement with your dislike of the A's ownership. Lew Wolff hasn't proved to be much of an owner, and GM Billy Beane is no longer the 'genius' he once was. The A's have underperformed for a majority of the season.

For those of us who used to be Yankee fans before the arrival of the A's to the Bay Area, I recalled that the great Whitey Ford was a small man, 5'7", what a pitcher he was! Let us hope that Sonny Gray develops in his mold, and the A's do not trade him to be great for some other team!!! However, I am afraid that it is all for naught, since I am convinced that this ownership is only waiting to consume the RE deal in transferring the ball club!
