Are You Ready?

Dear fellow A’s fans,

Are you ready for yet another season of Oakland A’s baseball? Are you ready for all the exciting and memorable moments that will surely be included in this upcoming season? And more importantly, are you excited about the A’s chances this year at making the postseason for the first time since the 2006 season?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you’re must be ready for A’s baseball in 2011. I know I am.

The A’s enter the 2011 season with a strong group of young starting pitching, and a revamped lineup that includes the likes of Hideki Matsui, David DeJesus, and Josh Willingham. The expectations are high this season, and if Bob Geren doesn’t deliver, especially since this is by far the strongest team he’s been given in his tenure as manager with Oakland, don’t expect him to be sitting in Oakland’s dugout next year. And Moneyball hits theaters later this year in September, and the movie will surely cast the spotlight on our beloved A’s. And as Oakland officials and A’s fans alike fight to keep the team in Oakland, expect the A’s to be the center of stadium rumors all season long.

So trust me when I say that there are plenty of juicy story lines this season. It’s been a long and interesting offseason, but Opening Night is finally here! I trust all of you will be tuned in or at the game Friday at 7:05 pm.

Sincerely,

Joseph
