Report: Coco Crisp Arrested For DUI

According to the A’s official team site, Athletics’ outfielder Coco Crisp was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Crisp, 31, is in his second year with Oakland, after the team decided to pick up his $5.75 million option. Last season, the speedy outfielder spent a majority of the year battling through injuries that limited him to just 75 games. He hit .279 with 8 HR and 38 RBIs. He also stole 32 bases last year.

The news is definitely serious, and team officials have already stated via an official press release that the team will take this news very seriously.

This season the Athletics are viewed as a potential contender given their pitching strength and an improved lineup. News like this, however, is not something fans what to hear.
